My husband and I visited here on a Wednesday afternoon for an unexpected birthday lunch. All the food we ordered were delicious and authentic, especially the spiced prawn entree and the coconut chicken curry! The waiters are friendly and helpful but the service can improve as they weren’t very attentive to the tables. We will be back for more tasty food!

The food used to be amazing. We’ve visited many times since 2018, but it seems like the quality and taste has gone down hill recently,

Went to this restaurant for the first time with my husband and family. The food was delicious and tasted authentic – everything was good except the butter chicken and goat biryani – the butter chicken tasted like it catered to white people with lots of sugar in it and the goat biryani honestly tasted like kashmiri red chilli powder and had no flavour besides that. We enjoyed the dirty mango lassi (alcoholic), chicken kadhai (with coconut), prawn masala, chicken tikka (one of our fav entrees), chicken saag (spinach based gravy) and cheese naan. The atmosphere is nice too especially at night time by the water and lights. We will be back, but next time will try other dishes as well. It was a hit and a miss but do recommend trying the dishes we liked.

I’ve tried both the other main 2 casual dining Indian restaurants in the Sydney CBD and went to Spice with high expectations. I would say it wasn’t great mainly because of the food.

Firstly the staff are super friendly. The samosa was the standout of the meal and recommended. We had chicken tikka masala and lamb saag which were both somewhat underwhelming.

We walked in for lunch on Saturday and there was ample seating available at Spice by Billus’s. All the neighbouring restaurants had people lining up to be seated.

The food doesn’t taste good. We wait for too long for the food to arrive. The waitress was not approachable and we had a hard time communicating with her. We keep on calling her so that we can place an order but she had too many excuses. The area was also not clean. I think they didn’t wipe properly the table. I won’t recommend this restaurant at all.
