We attended the restaurant last night for my wife’s birthday and we were not disappointed. I strongly recommend the banquet as you will be taken on a culinary journey for your tastebud that is seldom experienced. The service was fantastic and really capped off a memorable night. We will be back, next time we are up the coast.

So this place is popular with both locals and visitors alike… and for good reason. Menu has a solid list of offerings to suit and offers several options for dietary needs. With 24hrs notice can meet other specific needs as well (garlic intolerance in our case) so everyone can enjoy the experience. While offering various set banquet options, which several tables chose, we went with a couple of entrees and mains to share, plus the tempura mushrooms, which were delicious. Our server Erin was lovely and even offered a free drink as kitchen was a bit slow getting our food out – it was very busy and we were happy to pace ourselves in any case as the food portions were both generous and filling. It was a nice touch and appreciated. While they did accommodate a family of four as walk-ins, would suggest booking on weekends.

Best dinner we had – by a street – in a week sampling local restaurants. Attentive but unobtrusive service, and imaginative and creative dishes, and an impressive wine list. Highlights were the yellow curry, chive dumplings and an umami bomb Sichuan chicken. Lovely ethereal macadamia parfait to finish.

I sat down at Spice Bar today for lunch and had the best dining experience I have ever had, the food was out of this world and incredibly fresh, the staff are very polite and professional and the new owners really put passion in what they present, if you are planning on going anywhere on the Sunshine Coast to eat GO HERE!

We both had the banquet meal (hors d’oeuvre plus two seafood and two meat courses) with paired wines. The dishes were all chef’s selection, so we didn’t know what was coming. The food was excellent, interesting and varied, with tasty sauces, fine cuts of tender meat, delicious scallops and sashimi. The ambience was perfect (staff listened when we said the music was a bit intrusive) and service was attentive with nice touches like bringing us a freshly-made bun to mop up our sauce. Great value food at $80 a person!

The ambiance is superb I highly recommend this restaurant, the food was amazing and the service was fantastic. Special thanks to chef Sophie for her incredible culinary skills and excellent level of customer service! I recently held a birthday dinner at this spectacular venue and needless to say the result was above and beyond amazing. I enjoyed the planning process with sophie and Luke every step of the way, my guests and myself are very deeply impressed with the level of excellence these restaurateurs delivered, the food the wine, the service – all absolutely exquisite. I can and will recommend the spice bar to anyone and everyone for any occasion.

AMAZING food; service; and drinks menu. You should definitely treat yourself and dine at this restaurant. The whole team were so helpful; professional and attentive. Look up the menu and see the incredible and innovative flavor combinations and creations…only an in-house experience can do the descriptions justice. An amazing experience for the taste buds and the eyes…and Extremely grateful to Erin (our lovely hostess) and the whole team. We look forward to seeing you next time we’re visiting.
