We queued for a long time, and discovered the ramen to just be average… slightly disappointing. The broth was quite bland and nothing particularly special. Loved the experience more because they’re part of the “Sho” group of legendary restaurants. @kirbystaltari

Went at 3pm. No one manning the bar. Went into Shobosho. Waiter said he would be out to serve me. Cook rocks up, advised no fried chicken left. Ordered waygu sando, the only thing matching the image attached was the wagyu beef.

The reason I give 3 star is because it took > 40 minutes for a bowl of ramen to serve and that time was not even at full capacity. However, the broth was super delicious, the ramen was cooked nicely in good texture, pork was tender but presentation wise.. not very impressive though. Hopefully they can train up the chef to be more multitasking and i will definitely go back for a second time as it tastes really good

The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I had the tonkotsu ramen and the fried chicken sanda 10/10 would recommend to everyone

This was my first experience at shomen and I couldn’t recommend it more. I had the tonkotsu ramen and it by far beats any hole in the wall or ramen restaurant in Adelaide. It was creamy, the pork was cooked perfectly, so succulent and juicy, the service was fast and waitress were polite! 11/10 recommend!

Headed to Shomen to eat a great bowl of Beef Short Rib ramen, which is my go-to and normally so delicious. On this occasion, I was seated, ordered my Beef Ramen with the waitress and was poured a glass of water. Two other tables sat after I had been seated and ordered. A good 20 mins goes by, and I overhear staff and chef saying that there are 5 portions left and that they didn’t have enough for a 6th. I get told by the waitress that unfortunately I have to reorder, not the other tables who had sat AFTER I did. At this point I was fed up and just up and left as by this point it had been 30mins and I had to head back to work. Severely disappointed with the service and the attitude from the waitress. Probably will skip this place in future… Sad really considering the food is usually pretty good.

Best damn ramen in Adelaide. Ordered chicken ramen and it was delicious. Not sure why reviews are so low? Seems like some customers have had poor service. I certainly had good service and, really, if you’re after a quick lunch – who even cares? Perfect spot for winter lunch. Will be back for sure to try the pork ramen

It’s a hole in the wall (literally) but quality food comes out of it. Love the ramen but the sando was great too.
