I enjoyed these flaky meat pies! We were on a tour and this was our first treat. I got the Beef bolognese, it was really tasty. Very hearty. The Beef and potatoe one was even better! Very filling. The one we had previous day wasn’t as good. The pastries looked so good. I would definitely try one of those in the future. Nice sized restaurant. Bathroom was clean. Great price for honey. Will definitely go back!

All things “Pie”, nice drive 1hr 30. Had chicken & vegetables pie, along with potato pie and sausage roll. Very nice pies. Didn’t try the dessert pies, although they looked good.

Great pies that taste freshly made and full of top quality ingredients. After driving for 10 hrs it’s exactly what I needed . I hate being ripped off by the other takeaway because you tiered and hungry and they over charge and give you rubbish it’s a real let down . But this shop is A grade go there if you are near by it’s a treat this 12 pack of party pies is only $10 great value .ps I alway stick to the steak mince pies

Have driven past this place many times over the years and finally called in today after a hike. Disappointing. The Pies had no structural integrity, and were a sloppy mess, falling apart the moment we picked them up. Both the Big Toms Pepper Beef and the Cheese and Bacon pie. It’s like they had skimped on the bases. Not sure if this is normal, but I prefer a much firmer pie. There is no way you could eat these on your lap, you definitely need to be seated at a table and have your trusty wooden stirrer handy to scoop up the filling. I’m a little worried about how their family pies will come up when we have them at home, and will update the review.

Must try: fruit cream pies – we haven’t tasted these types very often. We had heard lots about this place and we keep trying pies in various towns that we visit..in the kangaroo valley area this has maximum choice and good taste so you will find something here. they were very crowded and we went late afternoon. Veggie pies had finished here as well however there were other savoury and sweet pies.

Drove pass this famous pie shop with high hopes for a tasty lunch. Ordered a meat pie and an apple pie. Meat pie was good, apple pie, no so much. It was cold. The staff seemed like they did not know what they were doing and there’s no “supervisor”. Asked if there’s tap water to drink and the guy almost seemed like he has never heard of tap water. Few seconds later pointed me at the fridge and said “oh yea there’s water there”. As you can see in the photo, portugese tart on display was burnt. You would expect better from such a famous pie shop. Been to many “famous” pie shops and this is definitely at the bottom of the list.
