This place was awesome! Never really done fine dining before but the food was just bloody delicious. Best oysters I’ve ever had, seafood best you can get. Little on the pricey side but the experience is definitely worth it. Views up the coast spectacular and the cocktails, beers and other drinks made the night. Highly recommend. Staff were excellent!

The location is superb, the food was awesome and the service was impeccable. The only downside was the noise. It was difficult to hold a conversation without the need to speak at the top of my voice. That being the only downside, the rest of our dining experience was excellent.

120 set menu – Very memorable experience, delicious but limited cocktail menu, beautiful beach. The standout dishes were the the kingfish sashimi with the umami sauce (I licked the plate clean), the tiger prawn in accompanying sauce and cracker and the various dumplings especially the pot sticker with Lao gam ma. The main issues included another patron coming up to ask about the meal which made me uncomfortable and probably not the restaurant’s responsibility, the lacklustre main dishes of flank steak and mushroom dish. The chicken salad wasn’t particularly great either. Dessert was disappointing. I liked how they accommodated my dining partners dietary requirements (lactose intolerance). Service was excellent and very attentive

Picturesque ocean front restaurant with views along the Gold Coast coastline. Save the hassle of choosing and do the tasting menu. By far the best item was the Bay Bug Rolls. I could order 6 of these as a main and be happy. Overall great experience.

Venue: the ocean view is a nice position, simple and elegant style inside. It is right next to the Burleigh heads main beach so during the day your view is of half naked swimmers. At night it would be quite nice.

An iconic beautiful location. Don’t get me wrong it’s expensive but worth it. Had the $120pp Set Menu. Fried Moreton Bay Bug Rolls are the best! A close second was the Chargrilled Wagyu Beef.

An amazing dining experience, from the moment we arrived we knew we were in for a treat. Staff were incredible – attentive, personable, knowledgeable, and informative. Beautiful setting – best table on a perfect day. Food and wine is so amazing, every course was sensational, perfectly portioned and precision timing. Such a professional team, an overall memorable lunch. Kudos to Liz, Sophie and all the staff. Can’t wait for our next visit.

What an amazing dinner we had at a Rick Shores! The bug rolls were unreal as were the lobster dumplings, toothfish, and oysters honestly everything was delicious and delivered in perfect timing. The atmosphere and views made for a perfect night. Service was great on a busy Friday night. Can’t wait to go back!
