Having lunch in the back garden of this local find was amazing, the tofu strongaff was perfect in the winter sun. Great service and such a friendly vibe, will be coming back!

Had to enjoy a raisin toast with a homemade jam (‘twas a fig and fennel this week), with a hot, thick chocolate and a vanilla milkshake for the little ranger. A great space, with herb garden and seating under a nascent palm tree. Worth a visit.

Vibrant Cafe with vegetarian menu that changes daily, with most items gradually selling out. Food all looks delicious, but be warned the serving sizes are huge – perhaps bigger than they need to be. We ordered a bean and zucchini soup, and the pumpkin toastie. Both were too large, but very tasty, hearty and healthy. Great service, very friendly staff.

Delicious tart with sweet potato and blue cheese. Cosy space with a community feel. Great reading materials available, especially if you’re interested in gardening, self-sufficiency or permaculture.

Food looked great, nice atmosphere, and staff were very polite. Didn’t end up staying for a meal because they don’t accept cards. So for merchant fees of less than $2 they lost $100 in business. Staff/owner seemed to have an issue with electronic payments. Concern about ‘if we don’t use it we lose it’. I quite like the idea of a cashless society.
