Did a day trip to Bowral to get out of Sydney. Really casual and friendly vibe at this cafe. Very nice atmosphere and food was high quality and fairly priced. Desserts looked great but didn’t try them this time.

The Plantation @ Bowral, NSW, Australia feels like eating in a lovely green house with the sun shining into this corner unit of the street abeam Dirty Janes Antiques. The Reuben sandwich is a winner with potato leek soup in season. Tried the vegetarian open sandwich with crunchy beetroot slices beautifully arranged with cheese balls and cherry tomatoes, cucumber and hummus spread in focaccia. Too off with latte and this is great for a sunny winter weekend afternoon. Sales at the side with balsamic vinegar gives a kick to your tastebuds when you eat with the sandwiches.

Very cute and lovely decor inside the cafe, although seating is quite limited. We got the soup of the day with bread (pumpkin soup), butter chicken which was the house special and also the passion fruit meringue tart. Soup kinda tasted like butter chicken too but it was pretty good. Also found a hair in the soup which was uhhh yummy

I just love this cafe! It is such a nice place to be. The interior design is fantastic and makes the experience really special. I had the avocado on toast which was lovely and an oat latte which was also very nice.

This was such a quaint gem of a beautiful floral cafe. If you enjoy books and flowers in a cosily atmospheric dining spot, you’ll love picking this place for a lovely meal. It’s so versatile that it serves as well for a date, a family day out, and even a work lunch. The service was marvellous, the mocha was flavoursome, and the food was delicious. The only quibble we had was that the laksa didn’t taste like laksa at all (it had the wrong noodles and there were gherkins in the soup, which was so strange), but all the other dishes were lovely.

The atmosphere and decor is in itself worth going for – it has a very charming and chilled vibe! The coffee is excellent and also the food, as a Southern Highlands local this is my new favourite cafe and I just wish I’d tried it earlier – better to go during the week when its quiet, hard to get in on the weekends as its a busy place!
