Picnic Real Food Bar offers eat-in, takeaway and take-home food. We favour local and seasonal produce, and nourishing food made with care. We offer a full breakfast, brunch and lunch menu. Our bar is stocked daily with freshly made salads, house-baked pastries and a range of healthy, wholefood, gluten-free and vegan options. We serve natural Australian wine, craft beer, mountain cider, organic kombucha and micro roastery Reuben Hills coffee. We freshly cold press our juice every morning. Here, you can relax on our deck and have a bite to eat, or let us pack you a picnic box so you can throw a rug on the grass at one of the many scenic spots across the mountain. Sustainable business, focus on minimising waste footprint.

We initially stopped in just to get a coffee and a brownie to takeaway…. Once we saw the menu, we were well and truly and lured in! As a coeliac to have so many delicious options was amazing. I got the veggie sandwich while my partner got the fish tacos. Both were absolutely delicious. Every person we encountered while there was divine to boot!

This is a beautifully designed cafe, with so much to offer. The menu was unique and full of flavour. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and everything came out at a reasonable time. The open-air, covered area of the cafe had a great feel to it, shaded by the local trees. Inside, the decor was chic and clean, all the while keeping with the sustainable designs throughout. There are art spaces close by, plus an grassy area to keep the kids “corralled”. Highly recommend a stop in here for something different than your usual.

Noticed this place a couple of months ago and have been meaning to visit. So glad I’ve finally made it here. Really good food and at a price you expect to pay for quality. There are plenty of options on the menu to please everybody and a few daily specials. Today, some delightful winter warmers. The long black was great and I stayed long enough to indulge in a loose leaf chai as well. Made a little strong for my taste. The vego toastie and almond tart went down a treat. You can tell that effort is put into the preparation of the food. Definitely recommend a visit (or more!) here. There is plenty of street parking and there looks to be a car park next door too. Easy all ability access from the street. Delightful staff top off a very relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.

Relaxed atmosphere, friendly helpful service staff, excellent coffee and I even got some advice to go with this beautiful vegan friendly platter as to where the best view was to go and take it for a picnic. What a lovely spot.

Another delicious lunch at Picnic Real Food Bar at Mt Tamborine. What a wonderful atmosphere, sitting outside under a shady tree enjoying the warm autumn sun. The menu is full of delicious, fresh, wholesome choices, all served with piles of leafy salad. Juices, interesting iced tea, and great coffee (including decaf!!), go well with a range of home-baked goodies, many of them gf. All the meals have df, gf, vegetarian, and vegan options, and there is ample parking. My only quibble is the time it takes for the meals to come. I know perfection takes time, but how hard is avocado on toast? It’s a minor flaw, though, and it’s still my first choice when I’m on the mountain.
