Definitely a hidden gem! Staff are very welcoming. Ordered myself a prawn dumpling soup….OMG! Flavoursome indeed. My dad ordered beef pho & it was HUGE & his words, very very good’ cheap eats in Ftscray is always a win!

A hidden gem in the “outskirts” of the Footscray CBD, the staff at Pho Tam were very welcoming and friendly. The food came out reasonably quickly, decent serving size and the pho tasted really great: the broth had a nice authentic flavour, the noodles tasted fresh and had a good consistency (much better than a lot of other pho restaurants in Melbourne where the noodle seems to be an afterthought rather than a complement to the broth), and there was a good serving of meat. Highly recommended – it’s a shame I live on the east side, as I’d definitely come back regularly.

I got beef betel leaf rolled rice, it’s so yum and great portion. Go with one bowl of soup, soup is also nice!

We had pho with beef flank & rare beef, special broken rice ,spring rolls & 2 orange juices. Service is quick despite full house. Food was hot and tasty. Even my picky 5yo eater said its yummy after tasting the broth. Pork chop was perfectly grilled with charcoal fragrance. nuoc mam was pleasant. pho broth wasnt over powering with star anise cinnamon and msg like other places, just the right balance of flavour. Im picky when eating my home food but this place will be my go to place for viet food. Will try other dishes next.

It was a bit quiet when we came in, but filled up pretty fast. It smells like it’s been renovated recently, but the food is nice. This restaurant cooks Vietnamese dishes, and the older guy waiter was super friendly and understanding which was really cool. He needs a raise.

Amazing customer service. The female worker at the front was very kind and friendly. She made sure to give us a smile and help us with any issues and requests. The food was also really great. Environment was pristine. Definitely coming back soon! 🙂
