What’s Good!
We took a little trip to Bendigo on a chilly winters day, and decided on lunch at Percy and Percy. It was a great choice!

We were pleasantly surprised by how good this cafe is. The pot of earl grey tea, was really nice loose leaf tea instead of a teabag in a pot. Coffee was good, the lunch meals we had were great and the service was quick and friendly. Considering how busy they were we didn’t wait at all long for our drinks or food. We had the Frenchy sandwich which had loads of ham and came with a tasty side salad, and a Chicken, Bacon and Avocado roll, also pretty good.

Truly unique offerings at this fine eatery. I used to buy ten cents worth of mixed lollies from Mr Forbes here in the ’70s and, my, how it has changed. A delightful menu caters for all dietary dispositions, including all-day breakfast, great mains and a bespoke assortment of dessert options. All this plus great coffee! Very friendly and welcoming staff look after you and everything is very reasonably priced. All that’s missing is a large bowl of tiny paper bags, each filled with ten cents worth of mixed lollies!

What a great find in Bendigo. Sat in the sun, excellent service, the cakes and pies looked delicious. Coffee was excellent. Only reason for 4 for food is really about my choice; of all the items on menu I think I made a poor choice ( tuna baguette) which was just a bit ordinary. But my friend had soup which looked lovely and I probably should have gone with a more breakfasty dish or one of the great looking pies. A lovely building/site and a delight to visit. Very popular with locals by the looks. A water bowl for dogs! A happy place.
