One of my few goals when visiting Hobart was to try wallaby. We heard Peakcock and Jones sold a wallaby dish, we arrived about an hour before dinner service and T the restaurant manager was able to fit us in, after that we met Julian the chef who was absolutely incredible. they promised an us forgettable evening, they did not disappoint.

The food and service were great. We were fortunate to get the spring tasting menu and it did not disappoint. The highlights for us were the; the tuna and watermelon sushi, wallaby tartare, the fish and pork belly and terrine. The waitstaff were very attentive to our gluten free needs and took care of everything for us.

Had an amazing bday dinner. Staff was great, food was amazing, loved the cool ambiance. The old bricks and wood in the decoration was just a bonus.

Food was excellent. I did the wine matching and all the wines were great, but they poured every wine as part of the wine matching after the course had arrived. I found it extremely odd. In a couple of instances I was waiting for the wine quite a few minutes after the course arrived.
