Impromptu dinner proved a delightful surprise. We walked in off the street because it smelt good. The gentle staff accommodated us even though they were booked solid, and we negotiated to leave by a certain time. They checked on us close to the end of our turn in case we wanted to order anything more, which we did, and still managed to finish by agreed time. The place is intimate (read tiny), the food is delicious, simple, honest; familiar dishes are done with a delicate touch, less common dishes are balanced to perfection. Ingredients are the freshest. Will go back as soon as we can!

This boutique Japanese restaurant has a really intimate and cosy vibe. We enjoyed the delicious lunch menu! I had the delicious Terriaki Chicken Teishoku and Ashai lunch beer special. The Edamame were the best I have ever tried. The staff are very friendly. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Japanese experience. The food is very high quality. I can’t wait to go back to try all the other dishes on the Menu, that my friends also tried.

Nice place for fresh sashimi and quality tempura! The burdock chips were crispy and yummy. We saw a few dishes other diners ordered and they all looked good.

I always find japanese set lunch very impressive. Not only is it so pleasing to the eyes, but also comforting to the stomach.

I’ve walked past this spot every week while walking my dog and it has always piqued my interest since people always seem to be dining in here. Last night was finally the night. Really nice spot to pop in for a ramen dinner. The pork tonkotsu broth was incredibly rich, my partner had it and when they offered me a taste it nearly ruined my own appreciation of my shoyu broth. Luckily I was committed to the shoyu and I made sure to savor the flavor. Will have to come back for lunch! The tables around us all shared edamame and I feel like we missed out!

I went to this Japanese restaurant .The flavors of the dishes were exquisite .Deep fried Tempura with vegetables and egg and seafood. The served in shells .there was also a Japanese style Miso soup, and special Sashimi with fresh fish, The Japanese beers with Edamame beans were tasty. The ambience and the service added to the overall experience.making it a memorabe lunch.

Managed to get a large group table relatively last minute for a Saturday night and was really happy with the super great service and food! We did a set menu for $70 pp and the food was so delicious, and we were also full at the end. Especially loved the tataki, saucy dumplings and super juicy karaage. Getting a huge bottle of sake to share was also lots of fun!!

Really small cute Japanese restaurant with fresh sashimi and tasty dishes. Some dishes’ flavours were a bit over powering but all in all was a nice meal.

I went to my zakaya two times in this month around lunch time. and I can confirm with confidence that this is the best Japanese restaurant in Sydney if not in Australia.

I like the vibe of the restaurant. It makes you feel like you are in Japan. Sadly we didn’t order sake, otherwise it will be even better experience. The grilled fish fin was very nice with hot rice. Beef tataki was delicious too.
