Really tasty food, we would recommend the platter to share and another dish for a family of 4. Flavoursome and experience if you have younger kids, we have 2 just turned teens and they liked it. The drinks are different to what we have tasted before but worth a try.

A wonderful restaurant. Unassuming from the front, like many such places it’s on the inside that counts. My wife and I had the share platter with Kantisha (mushroom and capsicum stew), Brusn (the best lentils I’ve had – and I’ve had a lot!) and Bierai (beef stew which my wife said was sensational). Before the share plate came out, the share entree of dips was fantastic, each one completely different from each other, and the flatbread-cross-crepe is a chewy delight that mopped everything up perfectly.

Absolutely delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Brilliant social enterprise that provides work and training for newly arrived migrants. Better success rates than any government employment programs! Excellent place, thoroughly recommend it.

I wish I had good things to say about this restaurant… I was really looking forward to it, but left feeling disappointed. I love the cause, but its not the most pleasant dining experience. The food is good, but portion sizes are very small for the price. We also had to wait over an hour for our food to arrive. We ordered just after 8pm, but we were eating close to 9.30pm. We both left tired and hungry. If you want to eat here, I would recommend not eating on a Saturday night unless you’re prepared for slow table service and a very long wait for your food…

Had a great dinner, we ordered the share platter for 4, it comes with 5 dishes so we got to experience 5 different meals amount us. The food was amazing and the staff very very friendly. The restaurant has a really nice atmosphere. To top it all off it is a non for profit venture to help employ people coming to Brisabne from Africa.

Food was very tasty however, there was definitely not enough of it for our group, there were also only 2 ladies working in the whole place (including cooking) so the wait time was really long, there was no music no vibe, we weren’t even offered drinks!! A nice not for profit idea but terribly managed in my opinion.

I first stumbled across this place after discovering that the three monkeys had closed down as I was looking for a place to eat with a friend.. I’m so glad I gave it a go as the woman who runs it has such a warm and welcoming energy and the food is beautiful. Very traditional flavours and you can taste the love that goes into it.

The food was nice, we had the $39 banquet menu and enjoyed learning about the Eritrean history on the walls – only downside was that we had to wait about 90 minutes after we we’re only told it would be 15 minutes
