I have been coming to the Mung Hing since it is was a fish & chip shop where chips were six pence. The meals are good size and a box to take the left overs is never a problem. Also has private dining or function areas. Certain days of the week they have a buffet meal. Banquets for groups of 4 or more are welcome.

I love the fried rice(nasi goreng), capcay. Because I like sweet, that foods little salty. After all is good. Recommended for Muslim. But you must order first not pork,no jam anda no baccon. Good service

Pleasantly surprised with the taste of the meals from Mun Hing. We ordered Special Fried Rice, Chinese style Combination Stir-fry and Chicken Chow Mein with soft egg noodles. Food was delicious, generous portion of meats and veggies and the right amount of seasoning. It was delivered to the doorstep of our motel. Only small negative is that it took quite a long time (1 hour) to get the meals. We were warned beforehand when we ordered but an hour is still quite a while to wait when you have hungry children in a motel room. The food is very tasty so the wait ended up being worthwhile, hence it is a very small negative.

We come to Armidale at least twice a year and we always have dinner here. The service is sometimes up and down but this is usually due to how busy they are and the staff are always apologetic if you’re left waiting. The food is spectacular and never disappoints. We always find ourselves drawn back to the funky outdated 70s vibe of the restaurant as these old school places are often where the great tastes are at. The bar menu is definitely outdated in terms of what’s on offer but their BYO rules are generous in return. Give it a try and just be patient if they’re busy!

My self and my family booked in tonight (Thursday)14/4/22 and had to wait 1hour and 20 min to get our meal. Several times we had to ask for our meals and then 2 meals were forgotten so trying to get staff attention was difficult and all the time we were waiting for our meals other people were served before ours even though we were there first and amongst all this turmoil the takeaways were getting full attention. We go to the mung hing because of the beautiful food but after tonight we won’t be back…..we had the worst dine out ever…Cheryl
