We used to love this place and they never failed to deliver amazing food! A few times now over the past several months we have tried phoning to order but were told they could not hear us. We’ve also had occasions where we call to order and no one picks up, over and over. We sort of made do with this as we really love the food!

Our family have been regulars for a very long time. Usually every Friday night for take away (we order the same 2 dishes every week). Twice earlier this year we got our Butter Chickens with barely any chicken. We overlooked it as we had good portions prior. However, again tonight (April) 2 Butter chickens with barely any chicken. It is definitely not worth the money to order from there now. As locals we now do NOT recommend this restaurant. There are plenty other Indian restaurants around Ashmore/Benowa with better portions and just as lovely and financially viable. Also, they have changed the counter to the rear of restaurant, so when you are dining the take out customers are constantly walking past your tables which is disruptive.

Nice menu with lots of options. Generous serving sizes. Ordered through Menulog and our food arrived before it was meant to which was nice. My only concern was how oily everything was. There was a layer of oil on the curries and the naans seemed like they were dipped in oil as well. We had a chilli and cheese naan and it was very spicy. Overall quite tasty Indian that isn’t over priced. I would recommend trying to order directly through them though instead of going through Menulog if possible to save some $$.

Beef Curry, Spinach & Cheese Naan was awesome. Yesterday afternoon i ordered food from here for take away. Vibe of the restaurant is good staff at here are very friendly & polite as well. Much appreciated to staff & Chef as well for making my lunch so special.

REVIEW 2 – We first ordered from these lovely people 5 months ago and tonight we ordered another 15 dishes to restock our freezer. Of the masses of food we ordered last time, we enjoyed every, single dish. We loved that each has a flavour all its own – they are not ‘same same’. There was no meal where we thought… ‘nah’. Which actually made it hard to do another order tonight… which to choose? Anyway… Here’s the system for living in ‘Moonlight’ – order loads, then open 3 dishes on night 1… have a third of each one (split between two adults). On rice. Add mango chutney, chapati or paratha and poppadums. Maybe some plain yoghurt on the side. Green beans too. Night 2. Repeat. Night 3. Repeat. 3 dishes over 3 nights and a banquet of flavours every night. Everything is so fresh – and heats through quickly in the microwave. They are super friendly and helpful and the food was cooked and delivered swiftly. Highly recommend.
