I’m only here for dim sum so can’t really comment about other dishes. Pretty much the only place in Townsville for dim sum.

Great food and service. My mongolian beef sizzle plate was superb. The rest of the family really enjoyed their food, even some fussy children.

So far the best Chinese restaurant in Townsville I have tried. Their staffs are friendly and helpful. Dishes were delivered almost right after we ordered it! I like how they have some veggies in the meat dish so the dish is not too greasy and heavy as other Chinese restaurants. Only 2 things that are disappointing is that the rice they serve is not Chinese rice and they seem to have lots of dishes not available due to short on staffs.

We are regulars here, usually for takeaway (the owners are very happy for us to bring our own containers). My eight-year-old said: “This is the best food I’ve ever tasted and the whole family gives it five stars!”

A great place for Malaysian cuisine. One of the best dim sum I have tasted in Australia. A must try when you visit Townsville!

If I could give less than one star I would!! First visit, came in for a takeaway order on a Thursday night, all went ok, the young lady’s servicing the front desk were friendly, time waiting was about 20mins which is fair considering there we’re people seated and others also waiting for takeaway. I looked in the bags as they were given to me – to double check my order of 2 chicken sweet corn soups, small rice, kung pao chicken and steamed dim sims.

Arrived to a noticeably filthy floor and a waiter dragging a vacuum cleaner and extension cord across the restaurant. We would have left, but Ming House is where we had our engagement dinner 4 years ago and we were returning to relive the wonderful vibe we remembered. So we overlooked the bad start, hoping it would get better. It didn’t. Vacuumed around us, which continued for over 20 minutes. Switched from vacuuming and cleaning to ordering and serving, scratching the back of his head with a pen. Very unhygienic. We ordered 3 courses. No complaint about the time it took, but it was all dumped on our table at once. We were the only customers in the restaurant for most of our visit, so he should have given us one course at a time. It’s not like he was busy. Waiter looked like he didn’t want to be there. The food was pretty ordinary. Honey chicken had no sweetness at all. It was actually gross. Soup tasted like a bowl of hot water. Rice had gone cold by the time we finished our entree soup. Asked for some napkins. Waiter just dropped them at the table as he hurried by. Everything was just slapped onto the table. A quick look at the receipt once we were in the car showed were were overcharged for the rice and charged twice for Jasmine tea. $16 for a very small pot of Jasmine tea, instead of $8. This restaurant has obviously lost its passion and they’re just slapping meals together and dumping them on peoples tables just to continue making an income. The young waiter needs training. Very disappointed. Won’t be returning a 3rd time. Sorry Ming’s house, you’ve lost the plot.
