Went there today to order a roast lamb sandwich. It was immediately clear that the meat was extremely dry and tough, so tough in fact that the server had trouble cutting through it with the electric carver. I commented that the meat looked very dry. The owner asked one of the servers what the problem was, she told him and he turned his back whilst muttering something under his breath. I guess some business owners don’t appreciate feedback or value customer service. They were very rude and dismissive of me. I have been cooking my own lamb for over 30 years, I am well aware of what dry overcooked lamb looks like. I wont be going back. There’s lots of other places in Launnie where I can spend my money.

Got the beef hotpot today with a few slices of bread after being told it was good! It was better than good it was bloody amazing. Also got a salad bowl, fresh and tasty!!

After finding just about everything else either closed or boarded up for renovations, it was a pleasure to discover this little gem was still going strongly. It is one of the few easily accessible places in Launceston city where someone in a wheelchair can actually find a space. lovely freshly made sandwiches and the owner even carried out our drinks to save us an extra trip. LOVELY service and nice food.

Roast pork rolls from this place were incredible for the price! Absolutely will be coming back, always busy so have some patience as it’s in the CBD, but worth it for a snack or a solid lunch if you’re keen on a decent general spread

Great food , only issue is every chair and table is covered in bird droppings. You can’t sit back into the chaírs with out getting bird poo on your çlothes, they àre old and dirty. It all needs replacing with plastic table and chairs so they can be wiped down after people have used them.

I travelled to Launceston with my mum last week and my friend brought me to Mike’s for lunch. Undeniably, food was sufficiently good – I was not a big fan of meaty wraps and burgers but my mum likes it. However, attitude needs A LOT improvement. First, when I entered the restaurant, they did not greet nor smile, but only threw out a question: ‘What do you want?’. Oh? Did I owe you money?

My brother-in-law Chris (who describes himself as a local celebrity) recommended this place, stating it was the best roll perhaps even the best food in Launceston perhaps even the southern hemisphere.
