Heard this place was good, and no favouritism due to a relo working there either. The pies are beautiful. Had Plain with mushy peas, Pepper and a Curry potato over the week we were around. Perfect temperature and consistency to be eaten as they should be. Coffee was good and the cakes, well I couldn’t resist either. We’ll done. Do yourself a favour but get in early, this place is busy.

We had pies and coffee here today, the coffee was the best and the pies were awesome. We got a high life bread which is lovely and the cakes and slices look delicious. We will definitely be back.

I have driven past this place for years, I live in Cairns, and I have never stopped. I finally stopped 2 days ago, and the 2 pies I bought were great. From now on, I’ll be stopping in for a quick pie on the run, every time.

When you think Hinchinbrookshire region what comes to mind? Is it the world famous Hinchinbrook island? Or the beautiful rainforests lining the Herbert river catchment. Well when I reminisce on my fond memories of visiting Ingham, my greatest of memories all come from the time I spent at Mick’s Bread Kitchen. If you’re looking for world-class pastries, comparable to the likes of 5-star European restaurants, or pies greater than any other across the whole of Australia all for an affordable price, than look no further. Mick’s Bread Kitchen is a must-see attraction for anyone looking to make some memories and find a sense of fulfilment in their life. I am finally at peace with my inner self now that I have completed my pilgrimage to this utterly gobsmacking bakery. I urge you to do the same. Drop everything you are doing and make the journey to Ingham today to experience this life changing bakery yourself!

Had a cheese & bacon sausage roll, plus an apple pie here. The sausage roll was alright – bit small. The apple pie was okay too, but nothing special. Friends I was with had a pie, custard tart and Nutella doughnut… They were also “okay”. Nothing special! Staff were pretty friendly though.
