This is a cheap and cheerfull, small cafe in Orchid Plaza. I had been sick with a virus, craving a good vegetarian ramen. I went to each cafe here and asked if the soup with their vegetable soup was vegetarian. Every one (that was open after 3pm) added fish or chicken stock. Mekong was the last place I asked and they did use a purely veggie soup. And it was delicious!

Wonderful addition to Cairns Vietnamese culture. Super delicious authentic Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine. Finally we have the option of Roast Duck egg noodles! Pho was phenomenal too! lt really feels like you have popped over to your aunty’s house for dinner!

We certainly enjoyed 3 delicious dishes & want to try more! We had the fried crunchy noodles with chicken, Mongolian beef with rice & crispy pork with rice. Very reasonably priced & good portion. Best of all was the authentic taste which made our visit well worth it. A MUST TRY!
