We have been going for dinner on Wednesday nights for the past few months. Each time we are noticing new very young staff. The staff seem to be very uninterested in their job and seem to prefer to socialise with each other. The young girl taking our order last night didn’t say hello or “can I help you”. Instead she left us standing at the counter for a few minutes whilst she finished her conversation (not about her work) with a friend. Then looked and came out with “want did you want”.

When arrived there Lewis served us and he had great customer service towards us, had no problem with that and then we went around to the sports bar and taste tested every single cocktail slushy kindly and then Hannah came along an poorly served us. Asked straight after we consumed alcoholic products to provide her with our ID’s. I unfortunately did not have mine however my friend did, she asked if I had a proof of identification on a government website? I pulled up my gov details which it stated my name date of birth. I said oh this doesn’t have a photo of me on it though wouldn’t I be better showing you a picture of my actual drivers license and she said no then denied me service. Very unprofessional considering one I just had consume alcohol and two I had stated what she had asked for in the first place and even offered more. I understand no ID no service but it was the way it was went about that was disappointing. Rudest bar tender I’ve come across in emerald yet. Food- we ordered steak and ribs chips and salad and it came out, presentation was on point and that’s about it. Steak wasn’t 200g, and the pork ribs tasted like the smell of when they’re cut on the bandsaw. The Diane sauce it ordered wasn’t Diane. Maybe if she died in it and poured Worcestershire all over her. Not happy. The chips also tasted like the oils been sitting there since 2004 and the salads dressing even ran away from it cause there wasn’t any on the plate, the only fresh thing was the freshly cut grassing clippings from the front sprinkled over the coleslaw packet from coles. Ah I’m off it not recommending here for a good time, but I’ll recommend the star proudly.

Last few times we have been here food has been less than average. Prices have gone up but quality hasn’t.. 41 bucks for a dozen oyster that are less than appealing. It’s a shame the food is really hit and miss here. Customer service is almost non existent . Pretty disappointing

Went to drive through bottle shop, thought the guys there were meant to ask you what you want and grab it for you. Guy at the counter seemed completely disinterested, had an ear phone in as well and just stood there doing nothing. Grabbed the drinks ourselves and paid. He wanted to be anywhere but there. Poor performance.

Both meals not enjoyable at all couldn’t chew the steak and the lamb cutlets were over cooked told the waitress about the steak that it was chewy as old boots and all we got was sorry about that NOT I’ll let the chef know !!! for the amount of money 80 dollars spent for dinner plus a few drinks we wouldn’t recommend the Mayfair Ridge Tavern at all we should have gone to the local pub and we will hear nothing about it from the Tavern
