New Thai Chinese restaurant in Haymarket serving up authentic Thai food! Every dish was a flavour bomb with generous portions and affordable pricing. The service is very quick and super efficient & friendly. Dishes I recommend are Roasted duck, prawn vermicelli, fish maw soup. Can’t wait to come back to try their other delicious dishes!

I recently returned from a trip to Thailand and Mangkon Road has got to be hands down the best Thai/Chinese fusion I have ever had. It’s not common I visit a venue twice but this has become my go to. Not to mention the menu is so affordable. Where else are you going to get a delicious plate of sashimi for only $14!

Delicious Thai Chinese dishes. Braised duck was soft and melting. And no bones! Salmon salad was a nice fusion touch but the flavours were definitely Thai. All dishes well executed. Has outdoor seats that are dog friendly. Not many vegetarian dishes.

Although quite pricey (considering that the serving sizes are small), all the food and drink we had here tasted great 🙂 We especially enjoyed the grilled squid. Service staff are also very friendly. The decor is pretty too – would recommend dining upstairs!

Really flavorful (it hit the spot) and the egg noodles were perfect texture. 4 stars instead of 5 because the price was a bit steep for the portion, and the food took a while to come. The Thai pork mince basil is really spicy, so make sure to ask for less chili before!

They have few exotic dishes (ex: fish maw soup) that you can only go there to have which will take to back to Bangkok chinatown. Their salmon salad was great. Nam-Jim (seafood sauce) , salt & garlic pork belly is also best (pork is a bit chewy). Lad-na was a bit bland but we had some condiments to put in to taste. Also coconut ice cream was also great.

I can’t believe I haven’t been here before! Honestly some of the most flavoursome Thai food I’ve had in Sydney, and every dish really hit the spot (which is very rare). We would highly recommend the Tom Yum hotpot and the fish maw soup – both were so tasty!!

Even though it’s chinese thai it still scores highly when focusing on the thai side, with well balanced pad thai, tom yum, but don’t miss out on their chinese signature dishes like the crab curry. And surprisingly good is the sticky rice mango gelato dessert, which is “not too sweet” and actually enjoyable.
