Ok service. Ok layout. Ok food served. I came for the pineapple experience And didn’t leave disappointed in fact it was quite delicious. However the quality of the burrito made wasn’t exactly as good as I anticipated. Not to say I had a bad experience at all it was just a very average experience. Hence why I can’t give this five stars in total. I’d still recommend checking this out if you’re after a quick feed and maybe have had a few drinks.

In the Mexican fast food hierarchy, Mad Mex at the bottom. Guzman y Gomez are the best and then Zambrero is in second place. The food is left in a bain-marie all day until it is ordered and then it’s unceremoniously slapped onto your burrito or into your taco. All the dishes taste the same. This iteration of Mad Mex is not usually busy and it serves beer, which is good. The store is clean and tid. Note, that they don’t have toilets (or they won’t let customers use them?).

As a Texan, I wanted to see how Australia did Mexican food. It wasnt bad! I would say it is mostly tex mex style, served similarly to Chipotle. Not a real extensive menus, but enough to get your Mexican food fix.

Came on a weeknight at 8:37pm (they close at 9) I’m 7 1/2 months PREGNANT and was told that I couldn’t eat there that I could only get takeaway. Explained that I was pregnant and hungry and I would be very quick I was then allowed to eat there. There were other customers still eating so I really didn’t understand why I was told this.

You know, I like this place. The food isn’t really that great, but it’s consistent. It fills my belly and doesn’t seem particularly unhealthy. This may sound like a bland place to eat, although the flavors aren’t great, they aren’t bad. Inoffensive one might say. Yes, that’s it, Mad Mex is inoffensive. You will not, not like it.

A very good range of salsa’s (from the mild to the extremely hot) and the salads were nice and hot. Unfortunately the burrito was floury and the bean mix didn’t pack enough of a punch. Good service, and cool decor should be noted. Prices are decent also.

I had nachos here the other day, The service was rather splendid. I was pretty stoked they had vegan cheese. “The cheese doesn’t melt” said the man at the counter. “Thanks for letting me know” I said. When will you get melting vegan cheese?

Service received this evening was unacceptable: they didn’t even warm the tortillas so they were completely raw, they used two tortillas for each taco (? ¿) and the ingredients were awfully spread allover the box. I love Mad Mex but the service and quality on this location is the worst, specially at the evening.
