Last week I had an appointment in the area and decided to support the locals, meeting my 2 friends here for breakfast. At first I thought I was at ‘Karens’ as the elderly female (in her early 80’s) who served me was soooo rude! First of all, we stood there for several minutes while she and her coworker had a conversation, then when she abruptly asked us what we wanted, (we were interfering with the conversation about what they did on the weekend), she didn’t even look up. I knew right then we should have just left, but I thought she might have been having a bad start to the day so we stayed (always trust your gut). Then after waiting for too long, my friend’s very SMALL serving of bacon and sausage for the ‘BIG breakfast’ was burnt and cold and my sister’s omelette (which looked SO grose and grey) had a big black hair cooked into it, and there was also a hair on the plate which looked like dog hair. The other rude one that cooked the food, who looked to be in her late 60’s, said she would make another one. Reluctantly my sister agreed and when she brought the replacement, she practically threw it at my sister and told her she didn’t know where the hair came from. I had a ham and salad roll. The roll was cold and stale, it was buttered with some cheap butter that was orange it. It was so cheap, it didn’t soak into the bold bread roll at all, it just sat like a slab of orange fat on the cold, moist roll. It was accompanied by the tiniest amount of packet salad, nothing tasted real. It honestly had NO taste to it. With very cheap ingredients and revolting people running this tacky little business, it’s no wonder larger businesses are taking over. I am all for small business and support them all the time, but this one needs to go. And those 2 females who are clearly related and both share a disdain for customer service and people in general, need to retire. Disgusting on every level!!

If you are looking for a Breakfast Wrap par Excellence, Luv A Coffee at Nerang is the best. Their coffee is good and the venue is very popular with the locals. The other favourite is the Orange Gluten Free Friande. It is an unpretenous place where you will get good and fast service.

I would like to complain about the bad tenpered and rude older lady in that shop who has been there for years. Went for lunch with another couple served by a sweet young girl, she looked like it was her first day and was trying very hard and very polite. Along comes that woman and screams at her for not writing it on the correct line. The poor girl was almost in tears, that older woman attacked her in front of us. We will never come back to your restaurant, the food was terrible too. It used to be a thriving friendly Cafe, but wow, have things changed.

Luv a Coffee may be a franchise, however any one individual business is only as good as its staff. So all I’ll say is it makes the grade, tasty meals and beverages, prompt service all at a very reasonable price. What more could you ask?

Normally very happy with service and food, but today was told there would be a wait on food as busy so decided to only order 2 pots of tea .When the tea arrived was told we could only have 1 small pot of tea between the 2 of us and told they would top up water if we needed it, because they were busy. Still charged for 2 pots of tea. No refund or partial refund offered. Very dissapointed, not what we ordered.

The coffee was great, service was great, food was great but it was a rainy day and most people sat outside. There’s a reason for this: the music was loud and was heavy metal. I’m sure some would enjoy that but if I’m going somewhere to eat, music needs to be soft and easy listening. To be honest, I couldn’t wait to get out of there. Take away only for me if I go back!
