Overall it was a good meal. I ordered the combination omelette and sweet and sour pork with rice. The price for the combination omelette was $19 (A bit much imo). I think my meal came to $40 with a extra large rice on the side. If prices were a bit cheaper it would’ve definitely been 5 stars. Was a good feed.

I usually get Chinese a little further up the road, but as I was at the Big Top it was convenient to just walk across the road. Ordered Honey Chicken + Fried Rice. They had prepackaged bags of prawn chips which I thought were free, because they are up the road, but they were $3.00 so I put them back. Chicken was over cooked and no sauce. A very dry meal. Won’t be returning here. Would rather drive a bit further up the road and order there and know the food will be good & get a bag of prawn chips for free.

Mama Kitchen is just the best for a relaxing low key evening serving beautiful food – our favourite being Scallop with ginger & shallot and Szechuan King Prawn. Also BYO. Chef Peter and Mae are great hosts and look after us very well. No wonder we keep going back. Well worth a visit.

The service was friendly and it seemed like a lovely family run business so we were happy to support them by buying lunch here and sad to write a negative review. Unfortunately the food was the worst I’ve ever had at restuarant and I barely touched mine. The honey chicken came out too quickly to be cooked fresh, and was like a reheated donut with tiny shreds of what I could only assume was chicken visible in a doughly filling inside a super thick batter. The fried rice was very dry and tasted like it had been sitting open in a fridge for days and absorbed all the other fridge flavours – it tasted old and funky. I was too scared to eat it as I did not want to get sick. The only positive is it was not very expensive so we did not waste much money on the inedible meal.

Not called bellygood, now called mama kitchen. Change of owner may account for my poor experience. I just had the worst “food” which I threw out. Would not have known what it was if I hadn’t ordered crispy chicken in plum sauce. Was like eating cardboard – No taste whatever. Sauce was not much better nor was the rice. Won’t be going back there.

Irene and her staff are very friendly and courteous The food was delicious and the serves were large and more than enough for each of us. We have eaten there and also had take aways on numerous occasions. This time we had my favourite Beef with Black bean sauce with fried rice and my wife had the honey chicken and sweet and sour pork dishes which were absolutely fabulous. Highly reccomend this establishment for its delicious and reasonably priced food either dine in or take away.
