We often go here but tends to stay away when its crowded like friday night or sat morning as it will take time for the food to arrive. Went and brought our tourist friends here at odd hours (2pm) and they loved it and didn’t have to wait long. Ordered carbonara, chicken schnitzel and steak.

Ordered a Carbonara Ravioli today. It’s dry and not much sauce. It looked like a bacon scramble egg pasta to me. The restaurant explained that is normal as they do not add cream in their carbonara. The taste is average and bit plain , maybe there’s not enough sauce.

The staff need to be taught about Food and Safety Regulations. The staff didnt use gloves or tongs to make the roll, nor did I see them wash their hands once.

It was ok, more for the historical value. Food was nice. I had the minestrone soup followed with their famous angeladas sweet. Most of time you need to wait for a table

Always fantastic to return to Lucia’s. First came here in the 80’s, with my parents, and it is still going strong. The interior is as I remember it as a child, though the sugar despensers and serviettes on the tables are gone – perhaps as a result of covid cleanliness requirements.

Lucia’s is a must visit when at the markets. It’s a no fuss, authentic Italian institution in the heart of the Adelaide Central Market. It’s just like nonna used to make. The food usually comes out quick but a much longer wait on Friday nights. A great vibe.
