A good coffee shop should have two things – great coffee and great staff. Lil’Bean has both, and delicious food, which is probably why it always has a line up. It’s a cosy little joint and well worth a visit or a detour if you’re around the area. Owner/operator Owen will see that you’re looked after.

Traumatising experience for myself and my daughter. I stopped by This cafe as I heard the profits go to Coast shelter next door there was a homeless man on the street and I asked him if he would like a coffee, as I reach the front of the line The lady told me I could not purchase a coffee for the homeless man. This made him upset and he explained he had had nothing to eat all day and argument ensued between the two of them with my nine-year-old daughter standing by clearly uncomfortable. While there may be history between the two it is the customers decision whether they purchase an item or not. People who love on the street deserve more compassion then what was demonstrated here. She kept telling me he couldn’t force people to buy things for him, which I told her he didn’t but she would not listen. The whole experience was horrible the coffee was also horrible and I will never return

Very good coffee, smooth and not too bitter. It also was served at the perfect temperature to drink ☕
