Chicken steak with fried egg was still my favourite; delicious tender chicken served with fried egg and rice (+ their not too spicy flavourful chilli oil.. ). Honey chicken was pretty good; crispy battered chicken pieces lathered in sweet honey sauce. Char kuay teow could be smokier. All the dishes were well portioned, and service was prompt and friendly.

Lovely old school Chinese restaurant that serves delicious pork and chicken chops with white/ fried rice. An egg is an additional $1. Very friendly owner and staff. Lady at the counter was always smiling and very warm. Love the place will come back. I asked for less rice on my plate.

I was needing a lunch that would warm me up at the start of Melbourne’s cold winter. And this casual home style place met all of my needs. I ordered the beef noodle soup and a 1/2 order of dumplings. The food came out fairly quick and tasted so amazing. I added hot chili oil to the soup for my taste which kicked it up. I was pleased that the soup broth was not too salty. The dumplings were steamed to perfection and had a nice texture and tasty filling. An amazing lunch that was filling, seasoned well and inexpensive.

So glad I found you again, went today for the first time since 2009 and my goodness the taste and memories of when it was in Port Phillip Arcade came flooding back, ordered the honey chicken, wanton soup and plum beef with 2 drinks for $48.50, the soup is big enough for two people. An absolute must if you want fast and very tasty food.

Amazing to find this place again after it moved from Port Phillip Arcade. Love the chicken chop or pork chop on rice. Used to be a queue miles long for these however now it’s quiet but the chicken is the same great taste, quality and large serving size

Good food and fast service. We ordered the Singapore Noodles and Salt Pepper Pork on Rice. We exchanged the Steamed Rice with Fried Rice for an extra $1. However, if you ask for extra plates, it’ll cost $0.15. I’m keen to try the rest of the menu.

Food is excellent. As a busy professional, this restaurant is perfect for me as the service is quick, food well reasonably priced and the overall taste will make you keep comoing for more to trial out their other dishes. My only suggestion is to go a bit earlier, as lunch hour (between 12.30 and 1) can have you waiting in the queue for a while but you cant blame the restaurant for that, as the food quality and service is so darn good that everyone wants to grab a bite from this delicious joint.

Initially was unsure of this place due to the outlook, and I wasn’t able to see the name of the restaurant (which later I found on the side). But I’m glad I tried it as their food is delicious and inexpensive. Also reminded me of the hawker concept in Singapore/Malaysia.
