Kemuri has finally opened a café near its restaurant. I walked in the soft opening of Kemuri Café, and it was quite enjoyable. I ordered a matcha iced latte and a tempura rice ball, both reasonably priced. The staff is well-trained and possesses extensive knowledge about coffee.

The food was very average and VERY EXPENSIVE for what you get in quality and portion size. I regularly enjoy expensive cuisine and am happy to pay for quality over quantity but I feel that Kemuri was bland and the quantity was pretty poor. Now we had take away and everyone else who hyped it up were dining in, but that shouldn’t really impact taste, quality or quantity. Was highly recommended to us and everyone we met there was singing it’s praises, but it just didn’t live up to the hype in our opinion. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere (for Nerang) was actually quite nice. Won’t be returning nor recommending.

The service was 5 star the owner and his wife went out of their way to that ensure we had a great experience, you can tell they really have a passion for what they do. The food is meh, and the portion is so small, the services is ok too, but overall i think can find similar tasting food, the ingredients use is better quality, but just the portion size is not appropriate for the price, the rice bowl only have 3 slice of pork, or 3 pieces of chicken, the special dishes only suitable to be side dishes, not filling at all. Really disappointed

Kemuri serves up some of the best Asian fusion food on the Gold Coast. My partner and I are regulars here and Hiro and his wife are just the most beautiful people and so welcoming. This is a true hidden gem. The Bug Bao and the Prawn Gyoza are to die for. I have recommend this place to so many friends and they have all also become regulars.
