Ordered the Tokyo set $42 and upgraded the rice to Teppanyaki Rice $7. Steak was cooked to my request, prawns were fresh and overall the favour was good. Also ordered the Karaage chicken which I thought was great value given the amount of chicken in the bowl for $12.

I was a bit disappointed with the food and the setting of this restaurant. Located at one of the premier shopping destinations in QLD where some of the iconic international luxury brands you can find, I would think the standard of this Teppanyaki restaurant can’t be any worst. But I was so wrong. You get limited seat around the metal steel plate where the chef cook the food and serve straight to you. This is the iconic of Teppanyaki. They have plenty of sit down tables and if you aren’t aware, you probably think that you are at a food court centre. The food does not taste like any of those authentic Teppanyaki. The salmon on the Teppanyaki is the same cut we get from the sashimi. We upgrade our steam rice and pay extra for fried rice but the fried rice taste more like a soy sauce fried rice. Even the rice wasn’t sushi/Japanese short-grain rice. We spent an average of $70/person for a family of 4 with 2 young kids so it’s quite pricey for the standard of food we get.

We had the kamikaze super deluxe set for 2. The marbled beef was tender but doesn’t taste marbled just notmal. We washed it down with 2 asahi super dry beers. Lovely heavy lunch on a Thursday afternoon in commemoration of the death of the Queen. May she rest in peace.

The hygiene standard of this restaurant was very poor. Tabletops were sticky. Cutlery was brought in on top of the sticky menus. Chefs didn’t wear masks while cooking. Leftovers were all over the floor under the tables. Don’t look down!

Unique experience with a lot of range of food options to choose. Very good value of quality food. Special mention to one of the staff members, “Piere.” He was really hospitable, professional and kind. Overall the service was amazing, will definitely be coming back again.

We got there around 3pm so had no wait time, served straight away and food cooked straight infront of us . Food was delicious and was accommodating when we didn’t want sauce on our child’s chicken. No photos as we devoured it all before thinking

Most amazing place I’ve been to in a long time. Everything was great, service, knowledgeable waitresses, delicious drinks and of course great chefs I’m gluten free and they catered for me and knew exactly what dishes I could have, many options too.

Went to this place over the weekend. Stood at the “wait to be seated” sign for a few minutes with multiple staff noticing us and not seating us. The chef noticed this and firmly instructed one of the wait staff to seat us. It was probably justified but makes a dining experience a bit uncomfortable. The waiter didn’t even say hello and just pointed to a table. When we sat down the waiter literally just Dropped the menus on the table and walked off. Didn’t acknowledge us, didn’t ask if we wanted drinks. We stood up and walked out. Never been so disrespected in a restaurant. Didn’t give 1 star cause we couldn’t try the food. The one at Upper Coomera was much better service
