Lovely space and staff. Came for lunch. Had the hainan chicken bowl. Subtle flavours, nice and fresh and light with succulent perfectly seasoned chicken. I didn’t try the tea or desserts but they seem very popular. No it’s not cheap, $24 for essentially chicken and rice, but the food is high quality and you can see the chefs crafting each bowl of food with care and precision. Will have to come back and try the other dishes.

Love this place though it is a bit pricey – the eel, a tea and dessert was ~$55 for one person. There are definitely cheaper options but if you want all aspects of the menu expect $30~40pp

The matcha tiramisu is quite nice! We love the presentation. It looks really nice in the wooden box.

One of my favourite restaurants in Sydney. The food is exceptional, reasonably priced, consistent, an absolute pleasure every time I visit.

Their food is fabulous. Especially Wagyu beef and {Soy tea&rice}chazuke with grain rice! But staff is not so good at English.A little bit communicate problem. But their service is friendly and thoughtful.Definitely will recommend to friends and come again and again!

Would definitely recommend the Unagi bowl over the Wagyu bowl.

Juan was recommended for my Sydney trip. They have 4 rice bowl dishes. Wagyu was simple but so tasty. The quality of the wagyu was exceptional. The presentation was also spot on. Hainan chicken tasted like a fancier version of the hainanese chicken rice. But they took it one step further by flame searing the chicken to give it that extra char and smokeyness. The unagi was quite ordinary on it’s own. They suggested eating half of it without the hōjicha dashi first and then adding it in afterwards. It was a lot tastier with the dashi added. Matcha tiramisu was extremely light and fluffy. It was the perfect balance of bitter and sweet from the matcha.

The food was insanely good – will return tomorrow to try other items on the menu!! The wagyu bowl was incomparable, the matcha tiramisu a creamy delight, and the sesame mochi unlike any dessert I’ve had before. I very much appreciate that this restaurant has few items on the menu that are executed extremely well.

Hainan chicken rice is delicious.. something I’ll come back for if there isn’t a long line. Matching tea was okay – doesn’t need to get them.
