Beautiful views from the window-side tables. However, tends to feel a little cramped inside when all tables are full. The menu boasts a great variety of pizza toppings. The dough was unfortunately quite doughy in the crusts, rather than large and puffy. Generous with the toppings, and overall, a wonderful customer service experience. Would love to return and try their gnocchi.

I ordered by phone a meat lover pizza to pick up and take home, but I was given the wrong pizza and I realized when I arrived home after having to walk under the rain. I recently dined here with a party of 14. We had the set menu as I would expect for a large group. The food was amazing and there was so much of it. It was fresh and hot and truly delicious. They easily catered for me as I am a coeliac and needed gluten free options. The service was also also very good. They were very attentive and it was a busy night. We always eat at Il Forno when we visit from Brisbane as it’s the best pizza outside of Italy. I Can’t recommend this place more highly.

Magnificent! Early dinner in il forno pizzeria as the first attempt, beautiful! We had coral sea pizza, succulent prawn and great seasoning. Also the homemade tiramisu, we are planning for our next visit!!!

Great fresh food, outstanding service! We dined 7pm Sunday night of a long weekend so didn’t expect to be seated without a reservation let alone receive one of the best services I’ve experienced. Staff were extremely accommodating with great knowledge of their menu. The drinks were recommended to us and served to accommodate the food we had chosen.

My partner and I loved our visit to Il Forno. Upon seeing the reviews, we saw that the gluten free base was highly rated and since I’m intolerant, we decided to check it out. It was close to where we were staying, and tucked away whilst still being close to the beach. We really enjoyed our meals, the pizzas were delicious and we shared some wine and salad too. The owner was warm and welcoming and provided a great atmosphere. We weren’t able to stay for the dessert unfortunately, but if we do come back to Cairns we’ll be sure to visit again. 🙂 Thanks again!
