Come to the Hog’s Breath Cafe Hobart to enjoy some Hog-etisers. You can share ’em or Hog ’em! We have great food and quick service, and we’re working to spread a smile across Tassie that is contagious. Hog’s Breath Cafe Hobart is located in a historic brick building with heaps of charm and character; conveniently located near Sullivans Cove and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery close to the city centre. We are off of Macquarie Street and have plenty of parking, which makes dropping for a quick lunch nice and easy. If you’re coming with your extended family or having a sizzling first date, we have plenty of booths, tables, and bar space to make dining with us comfortable for any situation.

Amazing food! The amount of food here is HUGE! Definitely worth the price! All of the staffs are super friendly and attentive. Great place to have a causal dinner on the weekend with your loved one. Very chill and laidback environment! The dessert “Date pudding” were amazing!

The place is the best when it comes to food service and prices. My last meal was the hog ribs, I honestly don’t know how they doit but wow it’s soo good tender juicy cooked to perfection with a fantastic sauce. The mash is next level mashed potatoes, that is soo good you just need more and more. Mixed with their gravy and boom omg What a great compliment. The garlic bread, words can’t describe how good this is, just try it delicious the best in town.

Highly recommend, the wait staff were so welcoming and lovely. The food was incredible, I had the steak and garlic prawns and it was literally melt in your mouth tasty. My husband had the BBQ Cheeseburger with the tradtional curly fries and loved it (he’s a fussy eater too, so that says a lot!!) The set up is classic steak house and creates such a vibrant atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Went to Hogs Breath for dinner with a large group. Staff were very hospitable they managed to seat us at our favourite table at short notice. Very friendly and service was fast. Food was delicious, steaks cooked perfectly and we were all very full. We all noticed how clean the place was and we weren’t sticking to the table!

Tried HB again after many years, with a group looking for a “steak experience”, unfortunately was a little disappointed, ordered a classic cut slow cooked steak, but it was no better than a standard pub steak. Didn’t have the consistency of a good cut of meat slow cooked for 18hrs. Some of us had ribs, these were very good.

Stale burger buns, super slow service, veg “schnitzel” is just a frozen bubble n squeak patty lol, and the beef patty seemed to be from a supermarket value pack. Average food + service could have been redeemed if they had decent portion sizes but unfortunately not, even the curly fries were small and sad 🙁 this place used to be good value for money and a decent feed but it’s so below average now, wouldn’t bother

Dined early lunchtime. I had the Boss Hog Mushrooms for appetizers and they were delicious 5/5. Main was the Pork-Out Plate and I was quite disappointed. Chorizo Sausage was very dry and overcooked, Pork Belly was tough and very dry and I could not believe that Pork Belly could be overcooked. However the Ribs were succulent and tender and oh so yummy.

Absolutely delicious meals! Great location, parking and eating space! Extremely friendly and kind staff who are always helpful and really nice to communicate with! The ribs are insanely good and so are the curly fries and wraps! Can highly recommend Hog’s breath cafe! 10/10 service And food!
