Welcome to Hendriks Cognac & Wine. We were Sydneys first Cognac & Wine bar & now have bought that experience to the Highlands. Our goal is to deliver relaxed drinking experiences in a new & unique way. Taking the ‘snob’ out of Cognac & Wine. Named after one of the owners fathers who resided in Bowral, Hendriks delivers the joy that ‘Henk’ always had when sharing a Cognac or red with friends new or old, we want you to enjoy our hospitality & our different take on wine, food & good times. Our Cognac & wine list has been meticulously crafted offering you the ultimate delights in taste, balance & quality. Whilst down in the Southern Highlands, we tried cocktails @hendriks_southernhighlands and were impressed with their range. We really liked the Gingerbread Espresso Martini, the gingerbread flavour really shining through. The French Highlander was developed by the bartender himself; made with Cognac, elderflower, dry vermouth and sugar syrup – a nice light and refreshing drink. The venue is lovely and you can also grab dinner there too

a great spot for a lovely meal, extensive drinks menu and a lovely dinner menu. staff friendly and helpful, a gorgeous venue and can’t wait to come back again! the best rib eye steak w fresh veggies and truffle potato bake, omg, it was amazing. topped of with a berry crumble dessert – doesn’t get much better 🙂

Great night out for beer and pizza. Service was a little on the slow side but the food was amaziny good, beer is cold and the fireplace made it feel cosy. Will absolutely be back.

We had a wonderful dinner here during a long weekend trip to the Southern Highlands, and it was one of the highlights of our stay! My friends and I enjoyed being able to sit at the bar and order cocktails before being seated at an available table, and I appreciated the bartender’s input when he suggested one of his own mango cocktails after I let on that I was a massive sweet-tooth. I can easily recommend the duck confit as one of the best versions of this dish I’ve had in years, and both of my friends were very happy with their rib eye and pizza dishes as well.

Came here on a Wednesday night for a casual dinner; only 2 staff due to a shortage but the male waiter did an awesome job of attending to everything with a smile and professional attitude even tho he was run off his feet when it picked up pace.

Some of the staff need to pull their head in. The dark haired waitress with glasses was extremely rude for the whole evening. You expect when you’re at establishment such as Hendricks that the staff would be impeccable. The rest of the stuff was great but this woman was awful. Continuous eye rolling and was rude when we had asked if it was table or counter service, since it was our first time. The food was subpar considering the price. Safe to say that we won’t be rushing back, it’s unfortunate too as the general ambience of the restaurant was great.
