As a Richmond local, I was excited when I knew this mid range Mexican restaurant was coming and had previously had pretty good food at the location on Chapel. Yesterday we popped in for some tacos and to take advantage of the $5 opening special. Service initially was ok and we both ordered 3 tacos. There was a mix up when the orders came out, and confusion from the wait staff about what flavours the tacos actually were. This could just be due to new staff, recent opening so on but the tacos were cold and very ordinary. Lots of yummy hot sauce options though. Will probably give this another chance in summer to sit on the roof and drink a marg but yeah, a bit of work to be done on the food, the tacos particularly ordinary at best.

Went on a Saturday night and just not great service – had to chase down wait staff for everything from water, to a drinks menu (not easily found through QR code), to ordering, following up when food was coming (over an hour after ordering) and then trying to order second round of drinks. Restaurant wasn’t overly busy but in any case, don’t accept more guests than you can service.
