I have not visited hakataya ramen since before covid and have noticed a decline in many of my favourite restaurants so I was curious to see if here was the same as it used to be. I visited the pacific fair store on thursday 6/4/23 and I noticed there were two young male chefs working that day, I didn’t wait long for my meal but the quality wasn’t good the noodles were hard and thin and the pork was a little dry also extra noodles were cold and I had decided based on this experience that I wouldn’t return as the standard had diminished but I believe in giving second chances so I thought I would try again another day.

Ordered the Chasu Ramen. Kids and I loved it. Tasted authentic, delicious. Reminded me of Japan. Only few places in Australia that I’ve tasted ramen equal to japanese standards. They speak japanese if that makes any difference.

Delicious ramen! Ordered the Spicy Miso-Men. Food came out quickly and tasted very good. It was maybe slightly too spicy for me so I didnt finish the broth. Staff there is super nice and friendly! Will be back to try other ramens

Trying out the miso spicy ramen and was provided extra noodle for free. Very friendly customer service. Ramen flavours was slightly different to Sydney and given the food options in the food court area this is the best choice.

Had the char-siu-men and the karaka-men. The char-siu ramen broth was nice but was very light in flavour. I would have preferred the broth to have more of a rich ramen-ey flavour. The karaka was nice and spicy, however, the broth itself wasn’t really flavourful. Customer service was wonderful. Food came out very fast.
