The best bacon and eggs in town….both perfectly cooked (crispy bacon, just how we like it) on real sour dough toast. The Maleny coffee is smooth and delicious. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had breakfast but the home made cakes are bekoning for another time.

The staff were lovely, but I had a spinach feta filo pastry that had grit in it large enough to chip one of my teeth. I sat inside and the sounds of voices and the coffee machine reverberated around the room and made it difficult to hear or hold a conversation, although the room was nicely decked out. Overall, not a terrible experience, but I probably wouldn’t go again.

Wow. Just wow. This place takes the cake. So it all started with eggs Benny order, too which my eggs were more boil then Benny. Upon asking the staff if I could have some Benny eggs I was confronted with a heavy handed stand over type lady who I believe would be the owner who instructed us that the eggs were done that way and that’s how it is. I kindly explained that this was not general nature of the recipe. She then proceeded to lecture us about how things are done here. My table partner then made a comment that was generalising people’s acceptance of fine breakfast dishes, to which she took a huge offence. She fumed off and came back out demanding to know where we were from and placed a fresh set of eggs down which was very nice. After which she emitted several muffled sounds and the interaction ended. Please be aware when attending this venue that the set menu is indisputable.

What a delight to find this local eatery, the food is exceptional everything, the best cheese and onion toasted sandwich I have ever eaten, the best spinach and feta pastry, the best meat pastry pie my husband has ever eaten,the staff are happy and friendly and even pet friendly, my treat place.

Came for a coffee and also grabbed a couple of ham, cheese and tomato toasties after seeing how great they looked! Lovely fresh ham off the bone, generous portion and great coffee and staff to top it all off! Would recommend this highly and will definitely be back next time we are out this way

Lovely little cafe with delicious breakfast. The owner was very friendly and accommodating with a fussy eater. The air con was freezing but once the direction of the fan was moved it was a great spot to enjoy our breakfast. Loved the personal touch of the family photo wall.

Had a lovely lunch at grindstone cafe accompanied by a friend. We both ordered the chicken and salad roll/wrap. As seen in photos this was a delight to order and dig into! Have come here before and will not stop coming as staff are a delight to be around. Such a beautiful and welcoming atmosphere!! The green tea and iced coffee were also a nice treat on the side along side the main meal:)
