Yesterday (25/09/22) my father went to the Golden Chicken to get some food for the family. We have been regulars here since it has opened, and did not have any problems until yesterday. My father is disabled and requires a service dog with him at all time. This is to ensure his safety AND the safety of those around him. His service dog wears a bright neon pink coat that says ‘SERVICE DOG’ on it. He walked into the shop with his service dog and ordered as per usual. Nothing seemed amiss until the lady taking his order quipped, “Would it have hurt you to have left that dog outside? Its got a leash, couldn’t you have tied it up?”. Of course, my Dad was very shocked and confused, and he asked her if she had read the service dog’s coat. She said no. He explained she is a service dog, and yet he received no apology. My father left extremely upset and anxious, and no longer feels like he can order food from here. You would NEVER ask someone in a wheelchair if it could have hurt them to just get up and walk, why should she request he leave his service dog? Unfortunately I have heard that this employee is known for her bad attitude and poor customer service. If I were the owner of this place, I would immediately send this employee for sensitivity training – otherwise you lose life-long customers such as us.

got the chicken, chips, gravy thinking grazybis on the side like most places. she poured gravy all over everything. tried to stop them in the process as I don’t eat grazy, my partner does. server said “you should have told us not to”. ok so being a first time customer it’s my fault? paid for a small chips on the side. they were pretty bad chips. chicken was dry.

Don’t even bloody bother. They don’t answer the phone. The 1 time I went in there to order my food. They were rude n butchered my order. Do not recommend. Go to trowels takeaway
