We came here for lunch on a quite busy day. We’ve been given a table next to a window, and we were sorrounded by midges. The worst was that the midges were literally dipping into the sauce of the pasta and you had to remove them with you’re fingers, which was quite disgusting. Also we’ve asked the waiter for a different table but we’ve been told that none were available. They closed the window but the midges were already inside and we kept eating as we were hungry.

One of the only restaurants open in Mt Tamborine on a cold, wet Tuesday night. I enjoyed my snapper with garlic prawns although the plate was half hot chips. More salad would have been preferred. The service was good but wine list lacking. Probably wouldn’t return.

Took my Dad & son here for family lunch (based on reviews which were unfortunately for another location), what a letdown!! Hours to have our food served, everything was wrong, too much to list, but they did credit one meal (the most inedible, a car-tire steak) free. Would never be back, would NOT recommend!! I see they’ve closed ‘temporarily’. No surprise.

We had a large group for a family birthday party had to argue with the staff about having a table put together so we could be at the one table and finally they did it on the basis they were not busy but would not be able to serve the meals at the same time which was ok. The meals are mostly served with chips which are the bulk of the meal on the plate and they will not swap out for a good old salad so you have to spend another $17 to get a side salad. The service was Ok but the food has definitely got worse over the past years so the Chef should be changed if that is the quality that he serves up. The chips were overloaded in portion to the main meal ordered which was also not cooked well and interestingly our group of 14 made comments that meals were not up to the standard they should have been. George’s need to change the options on only giving the option of chips with most meals if he wants to maintain his reputation of the past. On several occassions it was asked to serve birthday’s lady meal first and it was served last – and that was after waiting for over an hour when they were not busy..

We got there early & were offered the best table in the house in front of the fireplace & Greek wall mural. Great spot for memory photos. The staff were super friendly (as I guess no other guests had arrived yet) & we received the best of attention. The meals were tasty & generous (around $20) but they get you on the drinks (around $48 a bottle for most wines) We had a very acceptable bottle of Rose’ . Only negative was one of the staff started to remove my wife’s plate before she had finished. (her cutlery still placed in the apart unfinished position on her plate .Service was good but maybe new staff need an update in table etiquette. Otherwise a very enjoyable evening midweek.
