We were looking for something close with yummy food and value for money. This place delivered. Food was great! The variety of seating arrangements is awesome. Outside on the footpath, out back on the verandah, inside near the fireplace or in a smaller room. The place is immaculately clean and well looked after. Amenities are located at the back and also immaculate. One of our waitresses was a hoot! Prompt, polite and with a great sense of humour. I think she’s Korean, she’s good value! They do an all day breakfast and the desserts look incredible. We were too full to indulge tho. Not to worry tho, we’re going back!

I absolutely adore Fourthchild restaurant for their in-store dining and lunch options within the price range of $30-40. The staff are amazing and very friendly, and the sesonal special grilled barramundi I had was great. I also enjoyed my favorite cold brew coffee! I will definitely go back again.

My best friend and I came here for high tea as our Christmas gift to each other. The staff were friendly and attentive ensuring everything was perfect – from the seating to the food – and it was. Our whole experience was just wonderful. The food was amazing and so beautifully presented and it was no trouble for staff to box up the goodies we couldn’t fit in so we could take them home to enjoy later (and I did). The glass of bubbly was a treat and to finish the morning, a cup of their divine coffee. What a perfect gift for Christmas. Can only recommend you put Fourth Child on your Christmas wish list. You won’t be disappointed.

Top quality Café in Brisbane Street. Parking out front is metered but there is some free parking around the corner. 1st time here, so we ordered & sat at the footpath tables . Not long later we noticed people coming & going out the back somewhere. When I finished my coffee (which was very good)I went to see where everyone was going. I found further seating at the rear of the Cafe around a brick fireplace & further on , a rather nice deck area with plenty of tables & chairs. ( probably a better choice than out front with the traffic) We’ll know next time. Good selection of cakes etc. in the 2 display cabinets. I can definitely recommend this place & would certainly come back again. Seated out back on 2nd visit & best option. Staff were very helpful & service was quick. Thanks Fourthchild it’s a great venue. See you soon

Came last weekend and service was mediocre. Long wait times, but gave this another chance because we came without a reservation last time. We reserved for Sunday jazz until 1pm. We arrived at 12:30. Ordered iced mocha, a scone with jam and cream, and Reef and Beef. The scone came quick this time hot and was good, a little dry. Then service just went south. Mocha was spilled all over the glass and couldn’t drink without getting coffee all over our hands. The jazz stopped 15 minutes to 1pm. The reef and beef was disappointing. Beef was ok but lukewarm, given 2 scrawny prawns, 2 even smaller scallops, and half of the skinniest bug they could find. Not worth the $45 for that dinner. $60 in total for all of it. Never coming back
