It’s been years since I last dined at Fat Dumpling. Definitely not as good as what it used to be. I ordered dumplings and salt and pepper squid. The squid had no salt and pepper flavour and was simply deep fried in batter. The squid was not tender, was was dry like rubber. The dumplings are nice but nothing to rave on about.

Honestly, we were a bit disappointed. The cucumber salad was really nice, as were the shallot pancakes. The various dumplings, however, were average. We expected better for the price. And, oddly, the xiao long bao “soup” dumplings had no soup in them, while the fried dumplings were quite wet/moist inside.
