Very full establishment when we arrived, so we popped down to the Wine Bar for a drink before our meal. Staff came to get us only a few minutes later. We had two main plates to share – lamb & chicken skewers with vegetables & tzatziki, pita bread and moussaka with greek salad. Food was delicious. Service was also very friendly. Would highly recommend a meal whilst in Palm Cove!

Overall a disappointing tourist trap. Definitely not Greek hospitality. Food servings were very small, expensive for what they were, too. The Misto was ridiculously small for a main. It was really average, definitely a restaurant that thrives on tourism (guests that come only once..) When we left they tried to charge for a bottle of wine we didn’t drink. I hope it was an honest mistake, but I can’t shake the feeling that it wasn’t.

Great variety of both starters and mains. We dined at 5pm and service started great, super friendly and attentive. As the service moved along later into the night, we were finding it harder and harder to grab somebody’s attentions. The food was all seasoned to perfection and generous portions, for example, a large whole pita bread served with each main. Do not skip on the Nutella loukoumades, they were the perfect way to end the meal!

Busy place, but they were able to squeeze us in, great food, really tasty and something different on offer. The desserts were great too! The portions were big enough but not huge and pricing was in line with other restaurants in palm cove.

Recommended by our friends, we couldn’t wait to try El Greko, but are not sure we will return any time soon. It was a Tuesday night and there were a few people dining, but the restaurant was by no means full. We didn’t have a booking but thought we’d try our luck anyway. There were several empty tables in the front of the restaurant, but we were taken out the back and given a table next to the bar where we were able to watch the waitstaff practising their funny walks and having a great time together, instead of looking after customers. The food was excellent no question. But once it was delivered, there was no more service. We had one drink before we ordered our meals, and were not offered a second. We felt as though everyone was waiting for us to finish and get out. This is not what we are used to. We are locals and will not be bringing our interstate or overseas visitors here to be ignored. What a disappointment!

Dropped in on a whim and loved the food! Quality of food, portion sizes and hospitality all excellent. Came back 2 nights later without a reservation to find the place fully booked. The lady that greeted us went out of her way to find us a table and we were able to repeat our previous dining experience. The lamb skewers were a standout for me. If you find yourself in Palm Cove then I encourage you to give El Greko a go.
