Do not rate this place at all. Heard great things about “Yamba prawns” and I strongly recommend not to buy from here. Not fresh and I really don’t appreciate being charged $35 a kilo for ice. The guy behind the counter was rude, it seemed to be a hassle for him that customers we in the shop.

On a road trip from Melb and wanted to experience Yamba for its famous Prawns and yes they were great. Ordered Prawn roll, 12 Prawns, Piece of local fish(mullet) and chips. Unfortunately, the local fish was disgusting and now know why I was given an extra piece on the house . Thanks for the experience but maybe be honest if the local fish is not fresh. I would have ordered extra Prawns

Totally average fish and chips, fish tasted like cardboard . No prawn rolls because the rolls were still frozen. Oysters none too good either.

After waiting for an exceptionally long time (given it was peak holiday season) the family lunch pack was equally as disappointing as the slow incompetent service. Dirty oil burnt fish and chips was disheartening to have paid $50 to then leave the meal there In disgust as the staff replied that it was up to their standard. Go into town for a quality fish and chips. Wish I had 4 hands for four thumbs down
