Very good and tasty food. Service was prompt and courteous. The spice and coconut milk is so full flavoured. Slight downside is the serving is a bit small but the great taste made up of it. Highly recommended.

Chat Thai is still the best Thai in Sydney, with its authentic Thai dishes. It’s even better when you have great views from this location. Service is also great here. It makes for a perfect lunch option during work days. Plenty of vegetarian options too. Just ask the friendly wait staff to make a veggie version of a dish that takes your fancy. And don’t be shy to ask for fresh chilli to make it extra spicy.

This place is ‘The’ place to go when you want to have an authentic Thai cuisine. I kidd you not. We ordered Pineapple Fried Rice, Pork Skewer, Red Curry Duck, all spot on. The flavors was intense for the curry, but spot on still. The Pork Skewer has that smoky taste, dipped in sour spicy sauce, great taste. The Pineapple Fried Rice was excellent as well. It’s rare i find a place that has all the ordered food spot on. Great job.

Good and authentic Thai taste. Need to wait in the sitting area before getting a seat in the dining area, a staff will then direct us to the table if it’s available. We ordered Chicken Red Curry which was fairly delicious. Pineapple Fried Rice (with chicken and prawns) was amazing too. Pat Thai was good, however way too oily. The taste, compared to other Pat Thai I had before, was dull. The ambiance overall was nice.

Most of the times I eat here I give this place 5/5. Today, it was 3/5. Food was average at best. A lot of undercooked, hard inedible vegetables and spices, leaves, stalks. Have I ordered a wrong dish?

Nice Thai restaurant which served a good selection of Thai cuisine. Located on the first floor of Gateway, Sydney. Price is slightly on the high but it’s worth it. The starters with khanom bueng youan and tua bap gong are delightful. The yellow curry with crab meat and khor mhu yaang are delicious too. Service is fast and friendly. The ambience is good.

I have dined in here 2x already, first time was with friends from overseas and the second time was with family. Food was great except that they did not advise us about the level of spiciness in the salad they served. We ordered the banquet menu because we are a big group. I was so disappointed because there is only one staff who is very helpful with our needs and that she made it possible to have our reservations move as well. The rest of the staff is very unfriendly, and when we asked for our plates to be changed it seems like they are not happy about it and took a while to have it changed considering it is not a full house.

Service was slow and food was below average – overall not value for money. We waited for about 30mins after ordering. And honestly, paying 22 bucks for a mediocre plate of stir fried vegetables with oyster sauce (just look at how chunky the stalks are) is just ridiculous. Tom yum soup tastes more like laksa? Not sure why its that thick and the most annoying of all? A small bowl of white rice costs $5. The only thought we have after eating is “inflation is real”.
