We had a great dinner at this new restaurant in the evening of 30/11/19 . The service is friendly, courteous and efficient. The food is good value for money and well presented . We had overally nice a beef Burger although meat pattie is a bit dry. The pork ribs are fresh and juicy. The grilled main comes with 2 sides. We ordered eye fillet median rare but it was a little more rarer then we expected .

Excellent steaks, side and sauce! Happy to pay for good quality and tasty food. Had the rib eye fillet with red wine jus and sides of mashed potato and seasonal veges – really delicious. I was also allowed to order an entree from the room service menu which I had the previous night and loved – the mushroom and truffle arrancini. There’s not a huge mushroom and truffle flavour but the little arrancini balls are so tasty and cooked perfectly. Thank you for providing good quality, well seasoned food. I don’t know why anyone would go to Hurricanes for mediocre (and tough) steak when they could come here. The dessert special of sticky date pudding was also lovely. The pudding itself was not sweet, in fact a little bit bitter (in a good way) which perfectly offset the slight sweetness of the butterscotch sauce and vanilla ice cream. I was completely full before dessert but somehow managed to scoff the whole sticky date pudding as well. Please keep up the excellent food and service.

Nice quiet restaurant, great for large groups/families/couples. The wagyu steak was pretty good, each steak comes with 2 side dishes which we find the portion to be quite big and filling.

We stayed at the hotel and had the breakfast buffet. We were a bit disappointed with the spread, I can only imagine that it was significantly reduced because of Covid. The food they had was fine, but the variety was much less than we were expecting and would have been nice to get a heads up if there was reduced offerings as we paid the full price of $34 pp.

We both ordered steak. Both the t bone and the 7+ marble sirloin were cooked to perfection. Definitely getting was you paid for. Lost a star due to lack of dessert choice. We ordered the first 2 on the list and they were both underwhelming

I ordered the lamb rack and based on the price I paid I’d expect juicy and ‘meat off the bone’ ribs or a decent serving size. Unfortunately I received neither, the texture felt like I was eating the breast cut of a meat and the serving size was extremely underwhelming. Would not come back again.
