Casa Mexicana is a regular go to for us. The food is always fabulous, staff at this family run restaurant are not only lovely but remember us and our usual orders. The Mexican decor is cool with some quirky special items that they have collected.

We’re Americans who recently moved here and are looking for a good Mexican spot like the ones we have back home. We’ve also been to Mexico almost a dozen times – Isla Mujeres Mexico has some of the best homemade mom & pop eateries. We had high hopes for this spot when we read the reviews, but unfortunately we were let down by the food. The service was good and friendly, the atmosphere was fine, but the food was very mediocre, small portions, bland with no heat, and the rice was undercooked and had no flavor. The salsa was too sweet, the guacamole was like eating the prepackaged versions from the store and the queso wasn’t really queso dip. My Aussie brother had the fajitas which he said were delicious and filling (they looked decent), so we had a bit of order envy and wished we had ordered the fajitas instead of the chimichangas and enchiladas. We get it, we’re far away from Mexico and it’s harder to get some of the ingredients, but it’s also not hard to nail the basics. Maybe we’ll go back and give it a second chance to try the fajitas. 1 of the best Mexican Restaurants we have been to! I have only till now had 1 other Mexican place that was worth going to, the food was fresh, generous servings & just fantastic! Service was great & we’ll be back. Well priced & lots of different foods to choose from. Only bad thing was super uncomfortable chairs. On site parking.
