My family and I have been ordering from here since they opened many years ago, and have always loved the food, however on Saturday night my husband and I ordered 2 x vegetable pad see ew with added tofu, and neither of our meals had any tofu. My mum ordered the chicken massaman and it was incredibly watery and lacked any real flavour.

Best Thai takeaway in the Carrum Downs area that I’ve had so far. We ordered the spring rolls, pad Thai with beef, red duck curry, coconut rice and garlic naan bread. The red duck curry was the big winner. Would get the naan bread classic next time as the crunchy garlic rub was only down point of the meal. Hard spot to find in a weird section of the plaza but worth hunting it down.

Never really thought I’d go here appearance from the outside does not catch the eye, but today I gave them a try. Very surprised and honestly I have not been happy with Aussie Thai food since I visited Thailand. But WOW what a awesome hidden little gem Carrum Downs Thai Takeaway. Pad Thai noodles just as good as anywhere in Bangkok, really good curries, fried rice was kid food. Very impressed so disappointed I had not tried sooner after living in Carrum Downs for 15 years.

This place is amazing. The chef is fantastic! the girls that take the order and deliver are so helpful and friendly and if I could give 10 stars I would. This food has such authentic taste. Just ask and they deliver.

Ordered over phone at 7.40pm- 2 calls later to follow up on our order the food finally arrived at 9.15pm (after being told 40min wait) A weak apology for being a “little late” when handing over the food. When told it’s been nearly and hour and half the response was “well don’t bother ordering again.” To add insult to the evening the salt & pepper calamari was stone cold, had NO seasoning and tasted like a rubber boot. Chicken satay dry and not eatable. The pad Thai was warm but lacked flavor. The only thing that was on point is the delivery women’s comment. We won’t be ordering with you again.

If you intend on getting food within 30 minutes you can forget it…my partner ordered 2 servings of pad see ew on Mother’s Day evening and then tonight. The first time we excused the 1 hour and 20 minute wait as it was Mother’s Day but seriously…not tonight! After being told 25 minutes on the phone, showing up 30 minutes later for an instore pick up and then sitting there for 30 minutes, we we were then told to wait another 10 minutes. Being fed up we walked out. I think you need to reconsider your priorities when you have people waiting in store and then a tonne of other orders including those from menu log sitting there the whole time we were there not even to be picked up. An absolute joke of a wait time and no compensation offered. What a waste of our night. We will never be returning!
