We dined here for dinner and ordered 4 meals. They are average meals as they are not amazingly flavourful. Quite basic and very sweet sauces that don’t taste like they are made in house.

We went to Captain Peacock with a small group. Some of the service staff were quite good while others were not.

Finally tried captain peacock today after watching the slow renovations for the past 2 years. I had high hopes as we have been very excited to try this place and from the outside it looked great! However our experience today was very poor. The food was so average and not anywhere near the standard I hoped for. My husband tried the Philly cheese steak and said it was “fine”. I tried the pumpkin pizza, while the flavour profile was nice the execution was poor. The pizza base was clearly bought in and frozen resulting in a doughy uncooked base with far too much cheese. I wouldn’t order it again and I most likely won’t return. I think they need to revamp the menu, there is no reason they shouldn’t be doing wood fire pizza- something this area is seriously lacking and if done right would be a huge hit. The rest of the menu was okay on paper but I would like to see more additions to the menu if I was to return.

Had an excellent evening with friends. Excellent food & drinks. I can see this becoming the next “hop Inn” in Armstrong creek. They’re planning on increasing their Kraft beer selection. Good for families with space for the kids to move around outside & right near the massive tv screen at Armstrong town centre.

How do some restaurants get it so so wrong. Been waiting for the Captain to open for ages so myself and my beautiful family were so excited. My youngest had his birthday and was yearning for the Peacock. So we went. We ordered then waited, and waited and waited. My youngest now has his licence and three kids. I’ve seen sloths prepare 5 meals quicker. I’ve seen my mum run 400m faster and she has no legs.

Absolutely delicious! Quick delivery and food is still so hot on arrival. We’ve had the smash burger, Korean burger, parmi and mushroom paella balls and it was all amazing!

Friendly service ! Had the chicken Parmi it was massive ! Perfectly cooked and delicious! The chips were seasoned well and the salad was so nice to have more than just lettuce and tomato! Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back !

Had lunch today with my wife. I has the Philly sandwich. It was thick steak and a bit chewy. My wife got the Smashed burger. It came with egg even though it is not on the menu. Probably best to wait and see if things go good. Hopefully things get better and this becomes a popular place.

Very disappointed. Waited an hour for eggs Bennie x 2 when there was only one other couple before us. Staffing shortages aside ( we were told there was only one chef who had worked late the night before) , when we got our meal, it was terrible. Chewy overcooked bacon instead of ham, hard eggs ( should be soft in this classic dish) and the hollandaise straight from the fridge!! Served on a bed of oil. The 4.00 hash brown was a frozen variety rather than home made. If I hadn’t been starving by this stage and on my way to somewhere I would have sent it back and left. I’m really sad as it’s nice to have a restaurant with a great menu in the neighbourhood. The waitress was lovely and the coffee okay but won’t be going back soon.
