The chicken schnitzel was paper thin over cooked in a deep fryer I couldnt get my fork in it chips loaded with chicken salt which I did not want and did not ask for. When I took my meal back up to the counter the lady abruptly told me that was how it is done then proceeded to walk away not offering any help. I do not recommend this cafe terrible food terrible service. Such a shame it could be great place to visit while at the Botanical Gardens

Do not recommend. Rude customer service, overpriced food. I’d suggest have food before you get to Botanical Gardens. Extremely overpriced and very rude staff. The buzzer went off and when we went to get our food, we weren’t given Cutlery with it. We were kind of brushed off and pointed to the buffet when we asked for cutlery. They did that to several customers. What’s with people not having any common sense. Tell the customer where the Cutlery is, or better yet put it next to where the food is picked up from. It was not a pleasant interaction at all.

Called in early Sunday morning for breakfast. Arrived at 7am, was not very busy. Great food and the opportunity for the 7 year old to eat and play in the kids area. The outdoor area is awesome. There are lots of plants in pots everywhere. Very inviting place to sit.

A bright and airy restaurant. The menu was a fairly regular selection, including options for kids. Fantastic views over the gardens and waterways. We sat on the outside deck area and were also able to watch the stream train go past. (Worth a ride after lunch too!)The birds are super friendly picking up the scraps. Lovely friendly service from the staff. I will definitely visit again next time I’m in Bundaberg.

The lady who was serving this morning I am completely shocked at the rudeness. No smile, no eye contact, just rude, storming around the place she told a lady to move her dog out the way in the rudest way possible, her customer service is shocking and reading this through the reviews I’m not the only one who has picked up on it. Food is nice , eggs Benny is quite small tho. But I think maybe it’s time to find a more happier pleasant person to serve.

Ok, not so great place. The soft serve was good. Coffee was extremely hot and not great. Tried the nachos was just average and not particularly great. Lots of place to sit and eat , but slow in cleaning up the tables (at least when we went). Since this is the only place around the attractions you are bound to go there though service was good.

Came here to walk around the grounds and grab a drink. Enjoyable walk, nice enough thick shakes but unfriendly and possibly even rude service. If I wasn’t craving the thick shake we would have cut our losses and just walked out. While waiting for our drinks, it wasn’t just me receiving the service. Will not return – will go around the corner to Oodies next time. It’s a shame bad customer service can can have such a negative impact.
