I had been craving a good quality fish and chip steak sandwich with the lot for some time. When I say “the lot” I mean the lot, egg, bacon, onion, tomato, lettuce and beetroot – but haven’t been able to find one anywhere. Cadell Street Fish and Chips delivered. Their “the lot” didn’t include beetroot but they were happy to add it on. My steak sandwich craving was definitely satisfied and with a potato cake on the side it was the perfect lunch. Great service.

Awesome tasty Hamburgers the best we have had in a long time & at a reasonable price. Approx $13 each for a Hamburger with the lot Chips were awesome and not the bright yellow dextrose coated chips so many are selling now. Efficient quick service & was quite busy at Lunch time

Only local fish is mullet. Only other Australian fish was whiting at $11.50 each. Come with bonus bones. Those were sold to me as Australian scallops, no roe.

Relatively inexpensive place to grab a quick bite…

Really good fish and chip shop. Decent sized fish serves and for a good price. Would be good if the chips were wrapped separately from the fish but other than that was amazing.

Changed ownership and they’ve changed the chips, not home made chips any more… back to frozen brought in chips, that weren’t cooked enough. Disappointed to say the least. Butterfish was ok, potato cake was very small.

Deserves a 10 star rating. Seriously. Best Fish and Chips in Australia and I’ve been to a few places. Fish so fresh, tender and falls apart. Potato Fritters soon good. Do yourself a favour, stop and get yourself a feed. For go the restaurant. It’s so much better.

Staff were friendly, food was mostly good, salad was a little bland, surprisingly no tickets were given when ordering and only saying the order when finished.. makes it hard when there is over 30 people outside having the same order or similar.. it could help putting a led light with the order number ready for the people outside after giving a ticket or having the ticket number on the receipt. Just my 2c.. keep up the good work

Was always a favourite to visit but disappointing and not what it used to be. Fish cooked ok but chips undercooked and no longer old fashioned hand made style. Chips were the reason for our visit so will no longer be on our weekend list.

We were both disappointed in the food here today. The chips were the yellow ones that seem to not taste very good. Our local pub has much better yummier chips. The fish was very greasy.
