So disappointed! Fish and chips for $25. The fish was no bigger than 15cm x 5cm. Super small. Tasted good but was left hungry. And the mushroom pizza for $22 had almost nothing on it. Check out our photos as examples.

I enjoyed the views and the food. I had walked up and down the Esplanade searching for something to suit my mood. The live sports on the tele’s caught my eye and the friendly service at the bar reassured me. The place is huge and the tables were only sparsely occupied, I‘m not sure if that was a good sign. Nonetheless, I drank my Little Dragon Ginger Beer (my favourite, and seemingly only available in Cairns). That put me in a good state of mind and when the steak sandwich arrived it topped the experience off perfectly. Deliciously tender steak, in a Turkish bun that was easy it eat, bacon (need I say more) and the caramelised onion chutney all worked together sensationally. The walk back to the car in the warm Cairns air with the sun setting helped cap off the experience.

I very rarely rate this low but after paying $27 for seafood ceviche, which said prawns, smoked salmon and scallops, what I received……two little shells with a LITTLE prawn and scallop with two 1 cm square pieces of salmon! Really …… then I had calamari , chewy but edible, my wife’s pizza was ok.. all in all will not eat here again ..

The food here is undeniably fantastic, delivering on flavour and quality. However, I can’t help but be disappointed by the service. Despite the delicious dishes, the slow and inattentive service took away from the overall dining experience. With improved service, this place would be a true gem.

I stumbled upon Boardwalk Social after wandering Cairns’ Esplanade. The live sports on the big screens caught my eye, and the friendly bar service sealed the deal. The spacious setup was inviting, and I sipped on my favorite Little Dragon Ginger Beer. The beef sliders were a revelation – tender, with slaw and caramelized onion chutney. A perfect Cairns evening!”

A fairly terrible experience to be honest. The family took me there for Father’s Day. Basically, if they’re going to charge premium prices, then the food, service, atmosphere and value for money needs to be premium too. I ordered an Eggs Benedict; I got 2 poached eggs on half an English muffin each, with ham (not bacon) and some rocket leaves. I was literally finished in 8 bites after cutting the muffins into quarters. It was just a rip off. The coffee was also served in a tiny cup. I recommend that they stand out from other establishments and give customers a reason to come back, where they believe they got a good deal rather than thinking they were taken for a ride.
